1: Use the elements and principles to describe the inspirational portrait.
There are lines on the guitar, different colours on the background, there are value on the background with light value close to the body and darker on the end of the angles.
2: Explain the acrylic painting techniques that your inspirational portrait artist used from beginning to end.
The painting contains many different techniques used by artists who use acrylic paint as a medium. First the portrait contains the wet-on-wet technique were wet paint is applied quickly on top of the canvas. Impasto or thick paint was used to complete the background and give it texture.
3. What is your plan for your portrait? (Subject: Techniques, style, colour, choice, negative space, mood, etc.)
My planning for my portrait is to paint the background a lot like Andrew's paint which to use scumbling which is brushing broken and/or thin layers of paint over another so that some of the paint beneath it shows through. Also I will make the face smooth just like what Andrew did in his painting above.
